Defining/ Assessing
Use the "KWL" chart to identify what you know, what you what to know and after the project to discover what you have learned.
Use a "word web" to identify what you know and how the information is related to other information. Add to your word web as you go to see how what you are discovering relates to what you already know.
Selecting/ Organising
Use the "ISP" document to take notes and keep track of your sources of information.
Use the "describing wheel" to identify information related to a particular topic, for example all the information you discover about Saturn.
Use the "Venn diagram" to compare things, for example two planets, or asteroids and comets.
Presenting
Use the "planning chart" to organise what you need to include and how to create your final product.
